Freedom from hunger walk

Thousands turn up for the freedom from hunger walk
Walking to stamp out hunger
Both young and old walking together

Brookside Dary Limited first supported the Freedom FRom Hunger Walk in the year 2005 At the time we worked with 10 schools with the number growing to 122 schools last year.

This annual event aims to aliviate food insecurity in the country by raising funds for various community based programmes in arid and semi arid parts of the country. A perfect example is the the Kamosop Dam in the Rongai area which benefited from funds raise during the 2007 walk.

The dam has a capacity of ...liters and benefits ....families living in the area. The families now have access to clean drinking water and water for their livestock and irrigation projects which will greatly impact the lifesyles of the communities in the area.
