Brookside Dary Limited is committed to promoting healthy living in hte communities we operate, we also aim to improve haelthcare and ease suffering in the community.
To this end, several institutions such as the Kenyatta National Hospital, and the Spinal Injury Hospital have benefited from donations of wheel chairs......
Through an initiative by Bloodlink Foundation and the National Blood Transfusion Services, Brookside Dairy has over the past two years participated in blood donation drives at our plants.
The drives are aimed at sensitizing our staff on the importance and benefits of blood donation and its role in saving lives.
Currently the country faces a deficit of about 100,000 units of blood a year. Majority of blood donations come mainly from high school students, while the real users are mainly mothers, children and accident victims.
A huge participation gap remains among those between the ages of 25-65 years. Brookside Dairy has stepped in to make its fair contribution by mobilizing our staff, who fall under this bracket, to donate over 241 units of blood.
